So I have visited Jaipur several times. But this time, we were visiting it for 2 reasons:

  • Parent's Anniversary
  • Chokhi Dhani

So it was february, the weather was good. First day was in the core city of Jaipur, the second day was at Chokhi Dhani. The anticipation was building up as we had heard so much about this place from friends and family.

We arrived at Chokhi Dhani on Saturday, around 12 PM. The entrance itself was beautiful, the grand hall with its traditional Rajasthani architecture. The attention to detail in the design was remarkable.

We booked 2 deluxe rooms, but got upgraded to super deluxe rooms. Now coming to the rooms, they were actually really good and beautiful. The upgrade was a pleasant surprise and made our stay even more special.

Coming to facilities in the room, I can easily say it's better than base level ITC hotels like fortune park. Space was good and all amenities were there. The room had everything we needed - from comfortable bedding to modern amenities, all while maintaining the traditional aesthetic.

Overall will rate it 9/10 when it comes to the room. The view from the balcony was also decent enough, offering a peaceful perspective of the resort grounds.

Now overall when it comes to the property, it is really beautiful from inside, you have a good swimming pool. As we went in winters, unfortunately I was not able to enjoy it. Overall the property is very green and has good walking lanes, one can have a good time there. The landscaping is impeccable, with every corner designed to create a serene and luxurious atmosphere.

Chowki Village

Now let's go to chokhi dhani village experience, so for people who are already staying in the resort, it's completely free from them (no dinner included). For people who are visiting the village specifically (not staying in a resort), they charge around 1200 per person including dinner. This village experience is truly the highlight of the entire resort.

Two words - Cultural representation at it's best and it's sooooo big, literally had to spend 2-3 hours just to visit everything present there

Small temples, lakes and tiny bridges create a magical atmosphere that feels like stepping into a different world. Every corner has something unique to offer.

They also have a whole play rolling out of HaldiGhati, showing our brave warrior king Maharana Pratap. It was mesmerizing. The performance was so well-executed that it felt like we were witnessing history come alive right before our eyes.

Folk Dances, and not only representing the culture of Rajasthan, but whole India. There were houses from across India, representing culture of each state. The diversity and authenticity of these performances were truly impressive, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of our country.

Also, boat riding is fascinating. The peaceful boat ride through the village waters was a perfect way to take in the beauty of the surroundings and reflect on the amazing experience.

There were so many activities and mini food stalls. And the food was delicious. The variety of activities available ensured that there was never a dull moment during our village exploration.

When we came back to our rooms, the staff left a small message with a chocolate box, this was actually generous of them to do. This small gesture of hospitality really touched our hearts and showed the attention to detail that Chokhi Dhani puts into guest experience.

Next day's breakfast was really good. If I have to compare the breakfast with any hotel/resort, it would be close to Le Méridien. The spread was extensive and the quality of food was exceptional, providing the perfect start to our day.

Overall Experience

Overall it was a wonderful experience. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations, from the accommodation to the cultural experiences.

I would recommend everyone to go here at least once in your life. And please stay in the resort, it is a bit costly, but completely worth it. The memories we created here will last a lifetime, and the experience is something that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy.

💳 Credit Card Strategy Tip

Pro Tip for Credit Card Users: If you're using travel credit cards like Atlas or other premium cards that offer accelerated miles and points on hotel spending, here's a smart strategy:

  • Don't pay separately at restaurants - Instead of paying individually at each restaurant or bar
  • Club all expenses in the total bill - Add all your dining and drinking expenses to your room bill
  • Pay at hotel reception during checkout - The reception has the main machine with the hotel's MRCC (Merchant Category Code)
  • Maximize your rewards - This ensures your spending is categorized as "hotel" rather than "restaurant"

This way, you'll get the accelerated miles and points that your travel credit card offers for hotel spending, rather than the lower rewards rate for dining transactions. It's a small optimization that can significantly boost your travel rewards!
